Acoustic comfort

Meeting acoustic requirements in a building is required by law. It's not an optional extra that requires additional payment or for which someone generously equips the building with technical solutions that improve its acoustic parameters.

Within the building, acoustic analyses focus on two main areas:

  • Building acoustics – covering issues related to sound transmission within building envelopes (external and internal). With the development of building acoustics and building material production technologies, solutions are emerging to ensure increasingly greater acoustic comfort, exceeding regulatory requirements.
  • Interior acoustics – covering the issue of acoustic waves in enclosed spaces. Their behavior depends on the geometry of individual rooms, the structural and finishing solutions used, and the interior furnishings.

Services provided by EBDN Project

For newly constructed or modernized buildings:

  • Acoustic analyses including: external noise forecast, verification of partition insulation, installation noise analysis, guidelines for recommended materials and devices,
  • Optimization of designs in terms of acoustics,
  • Acoustic insulation designs combined with authorial supervision and consulting at the implementation stage,
  • Acoustic acceptance measurements.

For buildings in use:

  • Acoustic measurements including noise levels,
  • Identification of sources of excessive noise,
  • Identification of sources of excessive noise outside the building – e.g. transformers, pumping stations, wind turbines, other technical devices.
