Thermal imaging of building envelopes

The primary function of building envelopes is to protect them from atmospheric conditions, such as precipitation and high and low air temperatures. These envelopes are responsible for, among other things, heat and cooling energy losses. Improper installation or defects arising during building operation can lead to significantly higher energy losses than those estimated at the design stage, which are reflected in heating and cooling costs.

The goal thermal imaging measurements building partitions made by our company are:

  • verification of the correctness and quality of assembly works – for new facilities,
  • indication of the locations of defects that occurred during the use of the building.

Correctly taken thermographic images and their interpretation by specialists with appropriate knowledge and experience are the basis for:

  • demanding that the contractor improve the assembly/insulation works under the warranty,
  • proper planning of modernization or repair works within the building envelope.
